TR -- I still go back to the "big picture" of this guy (Clinton.) He has lied about numerous things and gotten away with it. His supporters keep going back to Iran or Nixon or something else equally irrelevant. You must be joking! To equate Willie's sexual escapades with Nixon's paranoid crimewave or Reagan's support of genocidal bandits in Central America and theocratic thugs in Iran makes me wonder who has the problem here? Clinton comes out a very poor third in the annals of Presidential criminality. Priorities, TR, priorities...

I refer to your post (hours ago, I'm way behind) about lying. There are different kinds. You don't want to go to a party, you say you've "another engagement". You're late for an appointment, you say there was "terrible traffic" (when in fact you simply got up late). This is normal. And it's also normal to lie about illicit affairs: after all, if you could be truthful about 'em you wouldn't bother to try to conduct 'em clandestinely. Clinton "has lied about numerous things"? To my knowledge, chiefly about his sex life. And I think that's licit. Whadda you say we ask every member of Congress to stand up, one by one, and Tell Us the TRUTH about their sexual activities? What a spectacle! HOW embarrassing for everyone! HOW extremely juvenile and stupid! And of course: how many would lie?
