In the long run, preserving any culture in its pure form is a pipe dream. The world is getting smaller. Internet, streaming media, air travel, education ,etc, etc all contribute to cross pollination. I agree. I still believe this accelerated shift to consumerism and jamming folks into smaller and smaller spaces will bite hard down the road... Cracks are already forming... but that is not caused by immigration... immigration needs due to low birth rates are a symptom.. not a cause...
