I know that is what you think but it is dead wrong.

The very foundation of our modern humanitarian civilization and wonderful lives is the result of science.

There is good science and bad science and good scientists and bad scientists, but all in all they are the reason we live into 80's today, rather than our 40's 200 years ago, and live in democracies rather than dictatorships.

That is what science is in the main!
