Only Six Percent Of Scientists Are Republicans: Pew Poll Trump has been waging war on science not even allowing research on global warming. As well, the Texas Republican party a few years ago, had on their platform an issue against the teaching of "higher order thinking". And a PEW poll a few years ago showed that while 51% of scientists are liberal, and 80 of scientists lean Democratic only 6% are Republicans.
