She loves liver.

Do you give her the organs raw or cooked? Animal livers and kidneys can harbor a host of parasites and pathogens, so I am somewhat hesitant to use them, even though I know she loves them. I give her some when I make them for myself.

I was at Costco today and I bought a bag of Kirkland Salmon food. It is by far the best dog food I can find, based on its ingredients. It costs twice as much as the Pedigree chicken food that Mika seems to like (she had it at a neighbor's place). BUT, when I checked the ingredients of Pedigree, I wasn't happy. Ultimately, the bag lasts her about 10 weeks and the price difference is little when you break it up over the time span.

I also bought some lamb liver and kidney to make as an add on to the meals. I will cook them to guard against parasites and pathogens.
