"Socialism is live and well in Appalachian and deep southern states. Nearly 45% of their state budget dollars comes from federal revenue sharing dollars via tax receipts from successful states. Socialism will not fix this... Reminds me of the death of coal and Steel in the UK..... Socialism perpetuated the agony of the crisis. Maggie Thatcher pulled back all subsidies and enacted Reganomics....and today, these regions are relatively prosperous.

Its pretty ironic that red states have large socialist economies that don't really help trump voters. Like farm subsidies... at this point they totally help giant farming corporations. trump is desperate to retain the farmers promising even more subsidies... smaller farmers are going bankrupt at record levels as I predicted when trump was elected. Large corporations flush with cash from economies of scale, and subsidies are cleaning up buying underpriced farmland... as well as REITs and private investors. Personally I started warning people the Chinese were an economic treat that would turn into a security threat to the US back when Nixon became Mao's buddy... and I've long thought we needed to do something about it. But "doing something" is far different than what the bumbling fool trump is doing. He's selling us out all over the world.
