Tim Cook and President Trump go to Austin

Kudos to Tim Cook ..
He chose to take the time to learn
how to manage Trump to the benefit
of AAPL 's shareholders and employees ..
Other CEOs should take note ..
It pays not to poke the bear ..

Apple announced Wednesday that it had begun construction on a $1 billion, 3-million-square-foot campus in Austin. “Building the Mac Pro, Apple’s most powerful device ever, in Austin is both a point of pride and a testament to the enduring power of American ingenuity,” Cook said

The statement emphasized Apple’s U.S. footprint, saying the company relies on 9,000 suppliers in all 50 states and that it would contribute $350 billion to the domestic economy by 2023, including $30 billion in capital expenditures.

Trump and Cook plan to tour the Austin facility together -- a factory that White House spokesman Judd Deere said was “made possible through the president’s pro-growth and pro-business economic policies.”

Cook, Apple’s CEO, has cultivated a personal relationship with both Trump and his daughter, Ivanka, who is a White House senior adviser. He’s dined twice with Trump at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf resort, attended a state dinner for French President Emmanuel Macron and even traveled with Ivanka Trump to visit schools in Idaho.

Like Bing Crosby and Bob Hope in their famous “Road” movies, President Donald Trump and Apple CEO Tim Cook make strange bedfellows. But there is a close bond between the two men that will be on display later Wednesday when Cook gives the president a tour of the new $1 billion Apple plant in Austin.

Apple’s new campus will employ 5,000 people when it opens in 2022. The company has said it would make its new Mac Pro at an existing plant in August, reversing earlier plans to move production overseas

I couldn't stomach 10 mins. of the Schiff Show today.
He keeps mischaracterizing testimony to "prove" points
to his own satisfaction, but that aren't the whole truth.
