Dear Norm: Can you run a browser at an acceptable speed under Windows emulation? There are programs that write some excellent web ware that are only available to the windows environment. The Windows environment does attract all the leading edge stuff especially in the area of finance. Streaming quotes etc. If that G3 brute can run a Windows program at the equivalent of 166mhz I would definitely be interested. I think that is why Intel is looking for other uses for excess bandwidth. If we get up to 400 that means Windows might run under emulation at very acceptable speeds and cause all sane people to go bac to the highly rational Mac format. It looks like you and I have found a point to agree on. Actually I would love to see a java world. I still will bet on the leadership of Gates no matter what the environment as long as it is in software. If NSCP is to survive they have to get together with Mac and/or ORCL.
