REMINISCENCES OF A STOCK OPERATOR; Ch.1; Edwin Lefèvre | Jesse Livermore

-----------------------------------------------

I remember the days I was in the Schwab office watching the ticker w/ the old men. The lesson I learned from that experience was, market price discovery was very much psychological and news driven. I was just a teen ager interested in the stock market watching the "tape".

FWIW, you now get much more precise data that allows historical price information (reversion to mean), early 1st hour vol/price movers, moves greater than ADV and other big price movers based on inside buys and/or news.

These were the old days late 70's
