Someone posted a comment about paying reparations. I don't remember who, where or when, but here is the gist of it:

I'll pay reparations when all welfare money (and benefits) has been paid back!

Elizabeth Warren Calls for a ‘Full-Blown National Conversation About Reparations’

Even assuming there was some merit:

Ms. Warren:

Besides the fact it will be difficult to determine who should reap the rewards of reparation - after all you cannot go by the color of one's skin (and who will judge such a thing) to determine if one's ancestors were slaves or not.

In fact there were slaves in the Americas (and the rest of the world) whose skin melanin content is sparse - and oh yeah, that was in the past and did you know that there is still slavery today, some of which some in your own party has supported?

If we only concentrate on the past and on the matter that you are concerned with:

Now, I am second generation American (and proud of it).

However why should I suffer and pay for something that my family and ancestors are totally innocent of - that your ancestors (and likely your family too) are guilty? I understand that some of your ancestors even owned slaves in America at some point in time - I'm pretty sure that my family does not have that distinction.

In any event, I severely doubt your sincerity in this matter as your motivation here is to obtain votes.

If there was an honest accounting, descendants of former slaves owe the descendants of their former owners. Those of W. African ancestry brought here as slaves have much better lives than their relatives still in Africa. Better health, longer lives, better education, higher standard of living, better government, ...

I doubt that is what Warren is proposing.
