One alternate form of morality is that practiced by the cannibal tribes of Borneo. Another possibility would be Vodoo morality. I am sure there are other workable systems of morality besides Judeo-Christian morality.

There are differing kinds of beliefs. Moral codes have been claimed by religeous inspirators from Buddha to Moses to Jesus to Mohammed to a thousand other prophets. Only the one's that have made sense have been observed by followers. Those that aren't, are ignored and given up over time like the eating of different foods. Many are based on providing in moral code defence against a social or physical danger. No need to supplant any particular morality, but build on the qualities that continue to fit the times and meet the needs of the world we are evolving in... while letting go of the past with appreciation... that's the mythology we need.
