You completely misinterpreted my comments, which emphasize that meaningful agreements are often achieved only when not publicized, in order that nations or firms involved do not have to admit publicly any wrongdoing.

If you are saying an agreement is inherently flawed when it is publicized, I disagree with this thesis as well. This is part of a trade agreement, intended to encourage trade. For technology companies to be willing to do business with China, they must be aware of the laws in place to protect them. Inherent in such laws is the necessity of being public in order to achieve its intended effect.

the necessity of respecting others, which you appear to be incapable of doing. You don't even sign your name to your comments.

I am sorry that you are offended that I have challenged your thesis. There is no need for a personal attack on me for doing so. The vast majority of SI members have opted to maintain their personal privacy by not revealing their given name, as I too have chosen.
