Scott,

Dennis meant that Borland should create a direct sales office in Europe as well as in the USA, bypassing the regular distribution channel.

Borland has subsidiaries in most European countries (I know since I worked free lance for one of them a couple of years ago) and they hire production facilities in Ireland. Pricing isn't that bad any more - it is about the same price when you order in the USA and add both the shipping costs and taxes (import tax + VAT).

For single products, shipping is about $60. Import tax and VAT are about 25%-30% depending on the country you live in (you guys in Germany have lower VAT than we guys in The Netherlands).

Companies can get the VAT back, so they only pay shipping and import tax (which is about 5%-8%).
