"Bloomberg will discover he can't buy the presidency."
There's more than one way to buy the presidency. "Vote for me for free, free, free" is another. "$1000/month to a lucky winner" might also work.

I get the general argument that money can't buy a party nomination. Lots of history there. But one can argue that it's because the money has not been employed well. My guess is Bloomberg and his team have looked at all those races, determined what led to the failure, and planned accordingly. Doesn't mean they will get the nomination. But it does mean this campaign season is likely to see some new tricks.
