Im already modestly long the oil drillers via XLE. And was thinking of adding some NG to the mix starting mid/late December. Now, I will look into the service side as well (pun?). I wonder though if fracking is taking a toll on offshore service companies? I don't know much about them at all, but I do think the rumor of the death of oil is a bit premature. Thanks!

Oh by the way you might want to review the seasonality of oil to help with timing if you are thinking of jumping in.

"Analysis has revealed that with a buy date of December 24 and a sell date of August 21, investors have benefited from a total return of 344.86% over the last 10 years. This scenario has shown positive results in 9 of those periods.

The buy and hold return for the past 10 years was 60.62%."
