<<this Monica has/had a big crush on Bill Clinton to the point of having wishful thinking/fantasy about him. And then the smart-alecs over at the Republican party took advantage of this poor girls fantasy in a combination of the "dumbo" Paula Jones episode and have caused the current crisis!>>

Addi, do you believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny by any chance? It looks like her wishful thinking/fantasy paid off. White House records show she visited there many times late at night. Probably just needed help on her homework though. <gggg> I promise though this is my last post on this Clinton affair (and all the other ones).

Addi, you think Reagan's economic policies are now coming to fruition? Yes, they are - he tripled the national debt in his term of office, and Bush couldn't help but add to it because of itnerest payments. then Bush got killed because of Reagan's deficits when he was forced to recant his "read my lips - no new taxes".

Reagan wrecked the possibilities for a balanced budget for more than 12 years by spending like crazy and cutting taxes at the same time. Voodoo economics they were then and they remain today. And he's a hero for that? His policies did incalculable harm to the economy and generations far into the future who'll have interest rates double the rate of inflation for as far as the eye can see. for all their grandiose spending plans in the 60s the Democrats were PIKERS compared to this guy's profligacy - reduce your income but triple/quadruple your credit card spending. Is that idiotic or what?

I know, I know I said the last response was it, but I must answer Addi.

I agree with you about ignoring the noise ,Addi, but there's hope for all in this world--even the closed minded;)

As far as your comment about Pres. Clinton doing nothing but permitting Pres. Reagan's agenda to continue, shouldn't we give him credit for that decision? Most politician's don't have the discipline or humility to admit their opponents ideas are too effective to tamper with. Why do people with a conservative bent have such difficulty saying "I don't agree with all of his beliefs, but he has shepherded our economy to one of the best and long lasting in the history of this country?"....and why do they want to tamper with the stability of that economy?

Let's hope Ascend does just that shortly and take care....ann
