Ed-He can, but the puchaser would have to start a new restriction to my knowlege. I suspect that Ritter's statment probably has a ring of truth to it. Though if it is the case, it seems to be a classic example of "cutting off ones nose to spite ones face". My guess is that if having left quietly, the stock would be considerably higher in 90 days.

I guess from the brighter side, this shakeout has gotten rid of the faint hearted. When the turn happens, it probably will be much more sustainable with mainly strong shareholders left, and those trying to get back abord the train as its leaving the station.

In answer to your second question: For any number of reasons, I would think that it would not show well to have a standing officer divest himself of his entire position.
