Bob, are you sure about this. Prepaid expenses usually raise less of a red flag than deferred charges. For example, the knock against AOL used to be that they would inflate earnings by deferring certain charges instead of expensing them. The cost of mailing floppies, free connect time, etc.(subscriber acquisition costs). Their argument was that these expenses had a long-term effect and was akin to goodwill that needed to be amortized over time. Did AMZN have any footnotes indicating what the deferred charges were?
