Does anyone know/explain what are the new accounting practices when figuring out earnings/shr of a company?

Many thanks in advance,

I totally concur. The way I understand it, it does not dilute the float, I see no "bad" effect at all.

Pete,

The way I understand it...the new diluted earnings do subtract for stock options and such... so you were right! .25333 eps

RE:The way I understand it, it does not dilute the float, I see no "bad" effect at all. These guys are not playing the market, they are building gear. So hey, cool with me. If I could, I might consider working there myself!>
It may not affect float, but with new accounting practices, it WILL dilute earnings per share--yours and mine. And, to some degree, I will even agree with you that the engineers who are just "building gear" should have their options repriced, but read my other post about those holding the larger amounts of options who actually DID take those share as incentives and in many respects KNOW that they are playing the market.

greg
