Alexa,

You have made a great argument for interbreeding. After this is succesfully accomplished we will all have the same genes. Then we can just clone our successors. When we are all exactly alike then there will be no further need to kill each other off because we perceive differences.

When can we begin?

How much closer, it seems to me, all humanity would be if we had more common ground. A common morality would give us that but I don't see it coming from any of the world's religions right now.

I'd prefer a "common ethic". "Morality" smacks far too much of sex and religion, rigid ideas about which have got us into far too much trouble in the past and the present.
