Here's what one of history's most eminent and renowned economists, Milton Friedman, said about "Free Stuff" from governments ....

"I can spend somebody else’s money on somebody else. And if I spend somebody else’s money on somebody else, I’m not concerned about how much it is, and I’m not concerned about what I get. And that’s government."

Unfortunately Socialists just cannot get their heads around the FACT that there's NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH !! .................... Somebody's PAYING, and when a government is spending it's the TAXPAYER.

So when ill-informed, and often immature, students start agitating for "Free Education" they are expecting A LARGE COLLECTION OF OTHER PEOPLE TO PAY FOR THEIR EDUCATION.

When we decided to create free high school, we also talked about free college. Do you know why it failed? The rich wanted their children to have a leg up over the rest of us so they needed what's basically free college for them while the middle class is saddled with years or decades of student loans. It's their way of keeping control of all the money and it works.
