Because...and this is actually quite funny...when we used to bring this up years ago, we’d be accused of...wait for it...inter-generational warfare!! Ah the days before social media where 2 generations controlled our ability to compare notes We exported it to China and imported illegal immigrants - the middle class got hammered from both sides with complicit administrations until now....

There are a lot of people like you who worked, saved and did without instant gratification to put money into IRAs, etc. for their retirements. But the socialist-democrats only see us as piggy banks to be broken into and raided - for their own power. Lizzie is bragging about having a wealth tax. She's not entirely stupid, so is claiming it will only be on the super-rich. Can anyone name a tax that was started by claiming it would be "on the rich" or "limited" by percentage, that didn't eventually reach into middle-class pockets? We have to stop them, and at least make them regroup in 2020!
