here is the rest of the story! Sorry...had to split the log...

<mick> Joe: Is it true that BAT is a Bahamas based company? If
so, why?
<JoeLaStel> mick: we are not a bahaama based company, we are
registered in Utah.
<mick> (I don't know where that rumor came from)
<DavidCG> mick, I heard the same rumor...good to dispell it

<Merik-> Joe: Does the company have debt, if so how much. And
what do you anticipate EPS for the quarter recently ended?
<JoeLaStel> merik: the company has almost no debt. we own all of
our technology and most of it has been developed in house, by
very deticated engineers and scientists (Including myself)
over the past 5 years.

<mick> Are there any plans for testing Dolphin with Cat or
Cummins Desil truck engines? Would you anticipate similar
results?
<JoeLaStel> mick, Yes we do anticipate similar results and we
are in discussions with diesel manufacturers.

<cdaz> When do you anticipate the signing of you first
liscensing agreement?
<JoeLaStel> cdaz: It is hard to anticipate when the actual
signing will take place, due to the red tape associated with
large companies. Hopefully it will be soon.

<mick> How has BAAT been financing its operations for the last
severl years? and what is the relationship with its Subsid's?
<JoeLaStel> mick: BAT has funded its operations through the sale
of products- other smart investments, and internal support.
<JoeLaStel> mick: BAT ownes positions in 7 subsid companies,
these are all arms length aggreaments, and represent
different ownerships in each of the companies. we also own
20% of Kummuro Corp. NA, who manufactures zinc air batteries
that we used in our world breaking record events during 1997.

<cdaz> 92.5 mpg during the lap test at the Californis track how
much did the fuel injector hinder perfomance of engine and
what will "knock the socks off the big 3?" MPG wise?
<JoeLaStel> cdaz: we think we already knocked their socks off,
and doing it again and a higher efficiency rate will only
confirm its potential for those of the people who still may
have any doubts.

<cdaz> Anything potentially newsworthy before the Test in Feb?
<JoeLaStel> cdaz: things are moving very fast in the company we
will post all newsworthy items as they come in.

<mick> Joe: Are you one of the founders of BAT? If not, how long
have you been there? And could you give a very brief resume?
<JoeLaStel> mick; Yes I am the founder of BAT and creator
(directly or indirectly) of most of the technology. Briefly
- I retired 20 years ago, at the age of 38, and I'm still
38. Beacuse of your question we have decided to include a
brief resume in our web site in the near future.

<DavidCG> Ok, let me change the subject to Patents...I know I
have visited this before. I think people are curious about the
downfalls of applying for a patent (s) on this technology.
They want to know: How can you sell any licensing agreements
to anyone if your product isn't patented?
<JoeLaStel> david: Of course you can sell your product without
patenting it- it is a standard practice in many industries ,
especially the chemical industry to never patents anything,
and keep it as a trade secret For example: Coca-Cola.
<DavidCG> In other words, why would a GM, or Renault, or any
large auto maker deal with BAT without proof that there won't
be litigation because someone like Mitsubishi or Orbital
Engine has similar technology already pending...
<DavidCG> Ok, what happens if some covert automaker spy finds
out how the technology works today. Then applies for a
patent...doesn't that set up long litigation? (remember the
famous delayed windsheild wiper lawsuit?)
<JoeLaStel> David: basically you are wrong. The file date has
nothing to do with patent rights, other more importaint dates
include concept, reduction of practice confirmation by other
proffesionals, submission to patent attorneys, and many other
factors.
<JoeLaStel> filing dates virtually mean nothing.
<DavidCG> If you can ease the minds of investors as to the
patent issue...I think you will see less skeptism.

<DavidCG> I guess, as an investor, I don't want to hear how BAT
is in 10 different lawsuits in the future over this
technology. And any steps that eliminate or reduce that
possibilty would be nice to know. The Big 3 don't always play
fair.
<JoeLaStel> david: Nobody plays fair. And patents only give you
the right to sue. If you look at history of patent lawsuits,
they usually settled 10-20 years after the initial suit and
require multi-millions of dollars in attorney fees believe me
we know what we're doing.
<DavidCG> Ok, Joe, I'll trust you on this one!

<stockhold> We are new shareholders as of today - how's the test
of the pulse charge technology coming along?
<JoeLaStel> stockhold: the pulse charge technology has been long
proven, in house, and many engines have been built and
tested. However like everything else there is always room for
improvement.

<Merik-> Thank you. Can you give us a brief summary of the
company goals for the next year or so?
<JoeLaStel> merik: quite frankly we intend to sell several
licenses at a very high price and the in house goals are to
produce an advanced automobile utilizing out pulse charge
technology (Stay tuned).

<JoeLaStel> mick: It is presently under construction, hopefully
it sucks less now. We've been rushed, it will be world class
soon.
<DavidCG> I'm sure this must be a worry of yours as well.

<Merik-> Joe: Are you in negotiations with any automakers
worldwide and if so would you say your negotiations are in
preliminary or advanced stages?
<JoeLaStel> merik: Yes we are talking to automakers, and Yes we
are in both preliminary AND advanced stages.
<Merik-> Thank you.

<JoeLaStel> 5 more minutes. Any more questions?

<Merik-> Which national news agencies have been informed
directly about the 2/10 demo?
<JoeLaStel> merik: at least 50 national news agencies have been
notified, and 5000 worldwide.
<Merik-> BTW I like the term Demo much more than Test

<cdaz> JOE if an automaker decided to use your technology...
roughly how long till investors would know? for example FORD
calls today and say ok ..how long till we know?
<JoeLaStel> cdaz: It would be up to ford or any other automaker
to make the announcement. large companies usually control
that aspect of breaking news to the public.
<cdaz> but that is a major announcement for you ? why wouldnt
BAT put that out?

<DavidCG> Alright, on to my next question that some investors
worry/wonder about. The Yanmar engine. How many mpg does it
without modifications? why use such a rare engine? some
investors feel you are comparing apples to oranges with using
a unleaded engine in the normal geo and a diesel modified
yanmar in the other...why not yanmar diesels in both? one
modified one not modified?
<JoeLaStel> david: This is like a 5 part question.we intend to
take the most asked questions from our 4 national sessions
and answer them once and for alll on our web site. this would
eliminate the need to answer the same questons over and over
again. David, We've answered your last question several
times in past sessions.
<JoeLaStel> It requires a very long answer.
<DavidCG> Ok, you can answer at a later time

<DavidCG> Final question....if you have time Joe: How about
having the VP of Calstart verify all test data in the next
run. The public will see the Calstart VP as an unbiased
engineer.
<JoeLaStel> David: Calstart was invited to be a certifier at the
last run, and they are being invited this time however I do
not think they will do so, they do not have any technical
people on their perminent staff. They may not want to get
involved politically, contrary to the beliefe of many people
calstart only brings other companies together, they are not a
funding organization.
<DavidCG> I see. Is there anyone in the US that every single
automaker, newsreporter, etc..would consider an unbiased
engineer? Like the EPA or some govt. agency?

<JoeLaStel> Thank you all for you time and interest. Stay tuned
to our internet presence www.angelfire.com/biz/baat
etc... Please give us your email addresses if you'd like
copies of signed attestments of test drivers

<Merik-> Thank you for your time Joe. It's very much
appreciated!
<DavidCG> Thanks Joe!
