I remember my first encounter with a lawyer in a civil matter. He said "how much justice can you afford?" I felt like reaching across the table and strangling him. Later after I won my lawsuit, another lawyer took me to lunch to hand me the check and told me" Jim, you can't make any money unless your crooked". If I had a gun I would have shot him. So I think you are right! Idealists have their innocence to lose. I have grown up since then but I still do not like the system and its duplicity. So much for my initiation into the legal system.
