Moderation at scale is hard. And. each and every time something gets moderated, or not moderated, some are happy and others are unhappy. Within reasonable conduct constraints, I personally favor a regime of self-censoring - filtering what one chooses to view vs. someone else deciding for them. I wish I could be confident tech companies would see the urgency to do this on their own, but so far it appears greed is more important. Facebook terminates millions of accounts every day. Hundreds of millions of accounts every year. It's a never ending battle, and not just with the fake account bots, but with miscreants that actively seek out ways to misuse or abuse the platforms. If it were easy, society wouldn't have a gazillion laws on the books, because laws would rarely be broken and those who did would always be caught and prevented from doing so again, (e.g., no recidivism).
