>burnable only ONCE.

If you need to send stuff to a client or transfer to
another machine that you know has a CD rom, you want
to use the CD-R format, since any CD rom drive can read it.

The CD-RW has not penetrated the market yet, but if you
notice the industry magazines nearly _every_ new model of
CD rom drive made is CD-RW.. The prices are falling every
day. You can use those over and over again, just like
a removable hard drive. The discs cannot be read in a
normal CD drive though..

Bob, I wonder how they will ever stay in business with Zero return on their media!?? How long do you think that this rebate will last... 1 year, maybe 2 years? Come on now, this has to be a last gasp desperation move to sell a difficult to sell CD-ROM burner product, whose manufacturer knows, just like the 3.5 floppy mfg folks know that they are on their last legs... Zips will Rule!@ Mel
