From what I can tell from the telecon is that Identix is trying to get a foothold in the biometric authentication area but isn't having any luck. Probably because they aren't dedicating many resources to breaking ground in this area. The only thing they have going is the Oracle connection and from what they said that isn't going very well. I suspect it is because Oracle doesn't promote its use. A friend of mine that works for Oracle told me that Oracle doesn't think fingerprint recognition is going to go anywhere. I'm afraid that Identix is going to be left in the dust when it comes to bio-authentication. Their bread and butter is in the law enforcement arena and it may stay that way. Randy didn't have any good words about NRI and I sensed a little fear and anger in his voice. I think he's pissed off that NRI got the DOD contract to develop HAAPI. From what Randy said you could tell that they're working on HAAPI compliant software, but they're not going to tell anyone until HAAPI loses its association with NRI.

I feel better about NRI's competition in health care and banking...its non-existant!

Sheldon,

Wow, I thought that you were going to lash out against whoever because they tried to belittle NRI. But you did not, and may I say that was a pretty damn good diplomatic answer. I am impressed. If someone had tried to attack NRI by posting their message to me, in a vein attempt to make themselves feel good because their company had missed their earnings number and had fallen in stock price, I might have taken a harsher tone. No, actually I would not, much as I'd like to. Because then all these people who have nothing better to do than insult penny-stocks would turn this thread into a war-zone, and in the process would loose any informational exchange value this thread has. Which is what I guess went on in your head during your last post. Makes me wonder, though, why would the IDX ceo say anything positive about NRI? I do not expect NRI to say anything positive about IDX ever. So, because the ceo of IDX does not promote NRI, I should worry??

Regards,
Bob Jordan
