Just think of it this way, when we get a move and the price of oil is at a four year low, then we should also get a benefit when the oil price moves back up. That is, if the price of oil is really a factor in why HEC hasn't already taken off.
Most everyone in this business is assuming this to be a "dip", and just as Gabriela has stated... "buy".
Did you see "Moneyline" on CNN last night? Halliburton's CEO, and our former Sec. of Defense, (Dick Chaney) was so non-chalant about the low price, that I actually slept well after hearing him!! He reiterated the fact that planning and budgeting for this industry has to be projected out in a longer term. These capital investments payout over periods of 10 - 20 years. For the price of oil to effect their budgeting, it will have to stay very low for six to eight months.
So I am still the optimist. Oh--- and Thanks, John!! That was some good information. I really appreciate all the participants on this thread!!
