Focusing on farmers rapidly depleting groundwater is essential to keep farming viable in California.

Locally, in agricultural communities, the groundwater law pits one farmer against another as the decision as to who gets to use the water is decided locally.

Billionaire Beverly Hills farmers and Trump's darlings, Stewart and Lynda Resnick, will be putting other farmers in their Farm Districts out of business, buying up their water rights in bankruptcy court as the Resnick's suddenly cut the price they contracted to pay for their crops. One more addition to the taxpayer-funded welfare-water the Trump administration gave the Resnicks two weeks ago,

Remember the slogan, desert areas in California are a "Congressional Created Dust Bowl" because Congress has not yet funded enough welfare-water to make this land bloom with valuable crops.

Never mind the land will only be fertile for a generation or two due to salt build-up left by the evaporating welfare-water. What's important are the rights to the free taxpayer-funded welfare-water. That's liquid gold to be sold later.
