I do wonder at the level of stupidity that can write

some have been surprised that support hasn’t increased despite negative testimony about Trump from a series of blockbuster hearings last month. - Washington Post

What I posted is what is supposed to happen under the Constitution. During trial, McConnell will not be senate leader and won't be running the Senate ... the Senate trial will be run by the Supreme Court Chief Justice. But we do live in a time when all the rules are thrown out so I can't really predict what will happen..

Trump could collapse - both physically and mentally any time.

Trump could manage to live till the next election, lose in a landslide, refuse to accept the result and say he'll stay in office till Barr and Rudy cook up a fake study saying Trump really won.

Trump could declare war on NATO and sign a mutual defense treaties with Russia and NK.

He could announce the annexation of Greenland and cede it to Russia.

There are a jillion other possibilities. Anything is possible. The only thing that can be predicted is that Trumpsters will love whatever he does.
