IC720, Agree, but aren't they saying, being today, power grid needs to be stronger? The power grid is but one piece of the puzzle. The so-called "smart grid" is required if we're to move to a future where power generation is highly distributed. Renewables increases causes (risk) of failure and adds to cost, with additional storage? The funny thing is that with solar and wind, distributed power generation is almost a given, and that cuts down on the risk of failure. But the inconsistency of solar and wind energy is still a problem, and that's why energy storage solutions represent the "silver bullet." Tenchusatsu
