I think that's a decent pedestrian definition and if you scratched out the word "nation" you'd have Obama.

The truth is that fascism most often springs from the Left, not the Right (see: Hitler, 25 Points).

It was the Left, NOT the Right, who has pursued and practiced eugenics for the last 80 years.

And while you are fond of spouting concern over a temporary, utilitarian move toward isolationism, western progressivism has been at least as isolationist as conservatives for the last 100 years or so, including but not limited to the leadership of the Jim Crow movement over the last century.

The subject of Murray's "The Bell Curve" has often come up on this thread in my conversations with Koan, and it has been entirely LOST on him and almost all modern leftists that their very argument was AGAINST intervention by the government.

Fascism is harmonically aligned with the kind of micromanagement of the lives of ordinary people that modern progressivism is about. Your entire objective is to oppose regulations on every day lives of people by government fiat rather than ordinary decision-making most people associate with freedom.

I'd be careful before hurling that insult around so freely. I sort think it looks more like a boomerang.
