It is instantly clear that Reagan has been the best president of my lifetime. No one else comes anywhere close. Obviously, Trump can't be judged since he hasn't finished even his first term, let alone the second. I suspect he'll end up very close to unseating Reagan, but it really depends on the 2020 election, of course.

GWB was a great president and one day history will reflect that fact. But it is early.

JFK had the makings but was shot dead. LBJ made the CRA happen and has to receive a ton of credit for it, but the 53,800 dead makes the war overwhelming for him, the Medicare/Medicaid disaster, you can't come back from it.

GHWB was excellent but was too weak a campaigner. Ross Perot could have been great.

We had a lot of excellent presidents in my years.

No excellent Democrats, if that is your point. No, they just overall lack the intellect and toughness to run the country, and have for as long as I can remember. JFK and LBJ were the end of that list.
