Even as impeachment dominates the news, here’s your regular reminder that in small but important ways, President Trump remains an immature individual who’s incapable of respecting basic boundaries, a man uniquely ill-equipped to hold the most powerful office in the land.

Thursday, as the House Judiciary Committee finalized its articles of impeachment, Trump was — where else? — on Twitter, letting loose his usual petty and self-dealing self.

Annoyed that 16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year, Trump lashed out, “So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!”

This message was brought to you by the only active volcano in the nation’s capital.

Then, after the Trump Organization tweeted that the “The @MarALago Club is officially open for the 2019/2020 season,” an advertisement for a private resort, Trump — who promised to keep the presidency and his business separate — retweeted it with a heads-up that “I will be there in two weeks, The Southern White House!”

Back in January 2017, his lawyer said, “President-elect Trump wants the American public to rest assured that all of his efforts are directed to pursuing the people’s business and not his own,” and will “completely isolate” himself from the management of the company.

Now, he shamelessly promotes the businesses’ Florida property to 67.5 million followers.

Petulant. Corrupt. Self-serving. Untrustworthy. That’s your president, America.
