Trade deals can take up to a decade. The bigger issue (IMO) relate to global warming. The EU is set to be carbon neutral by 2050 but what happens if the UK decides to do the opposite? They'll have an unfair advantage, so the EU just gave Poland an exemption.

The UK can force the EU to stop the good things that were happening but I don't think it'll last long because the UK economy is going to take a huge hit (especially banking). Foreign banking in the UK for EU countries? Not a chance.

I don't think it'll happen at the end of Jan 2020. That's what they voted on but no one does what they vote on anymore - a sad commentary on the end of democracies around the world.

The first Brexit vote required the UK to leave within two years. They still haven't done it....and most don't think it'll happen for another two. My wish is for their quick exit and a quicker collapse.

Some liberals in the US are pushing for citizen voting on major issues, just like the UK did with Brexit. It's far too dangerous. Americans are dumber than Europeans and will be easily swayed by demagogues so I'm trying to put the kibosh on that nonsense. We can't even keep our constitution safe anymore.
