No, Cheeky, don't mind you being cheeky at all. I'm afraid I don't exactly agree with you that one day SECRETARIES will be the ones who know how to use computers, because actually almost all the children growing up in the United States are learning how to use computers, and many preschool children here are very familiar with them also. Some teachers no longer accept handwritten reports at my daughter's school, for example.

Additionally, almost everyone in college, law school, med school and just about all people in the business world under about 35 have some computer knowledge. In fact, it is secretaries who are falling by the wayside to some extent. Because most executives did not know how to type, almost everyone needed a secretary. Now many middle management types have no secretary at all, and get by mostly with email and wordprocessing short memos and letters on their computer. There may be a wordprocessing pool somewhere in the corporation they can utilize to prepare a major presentation, but mostly they are on their own.

Is it very different from that in Canada?

Oh, goodness, you have tricked me!! You got me to talk about computers!!
