"Pax sold to Expectations!"...that is the official comment from THQ...Deborah Lake called me back just a few minutes ago..I explained the whole situation to her and she said first of all as I should know THQ does not comment on units sold nor is it about to comment on the accuracy of a third party's estimate of units sold (ie TRSTS or PC Data) and second she said that she can tell me that Pax DID sell to the company's expectations and that I can quote her on that if I would like...she also said THQ is very comfortable with the analyst estimates for 4Q and she said that with PC, THQ can make a lot of money without selling a lot of units because the margins are so much better....she said she does not understand why everyone chooses to focus on just one game (Pax) when THQ had released 30 games in 1997 of which Pax was just one....anyway at the end of the conversation I asked if I could post that "THQ says Pax sold to expectations" and she said "yes" so there we have it.....now lets move onto to something more productive!

Jim, >> Activision Reports Q3 Results <<

But this "blow-out" news is only inline with avg estimate of 0.47/shr.

One thing worry me is the Pax sales, hope someone can give us more "accurate" information on this.
