I NEVER RESEARCHED NIXON, and I know he had nothing to do with the break in. Thought that was common knowledge. The cover up is where he got in trouble...

Nixon ranked #2 behind Hitler. Nixon had character flaws for sure. Those who know enough to theorize, Nixon probably wanted to handle the punishment of Watergate himself which would have been brutal. War protest out of control Nixon felt the country could not handle Watergate. Wasn’t a selfish decision he was thinking.
