I agree the most qualified person for the job, but all things being equal, I'd take a woman. It's my personal affirmative action (I do not believe in legislative affirmative action). Symbolically, it would be good to have a woman as President after 40 some consecutive male Presidents, to show women that men will vote for a woman if her politics are on the ball and to maybe put an end to this crap about a patriarchal society.

In this sense, I think a GOP woman will win before a Dem, because a female Dem would be too liberal for the electorate.
