Dems don't care because they have become the party of big business and oligarchs. Small businesses and working class people are "deplorables" to them. That is why my life-long Democrat brother who spent his life in a union and was a union officer now hates the Democrats. The party has changed and is now the enemy of the people. The minimum wage measures and the forced use of W2s with no contract labor allowed are meant to put small businesses out of business and drive the revenues to larger businesses that can afford to comply.
