>>Rocky was right for once, he must be feeling pretty upbeat.<< Keith, all - Maybe it's just jealousy, but I don't quite see how Rocky is getting credit for being so "right." I will certainly admit that I did not foresee a shortfall in expected revenues and eps, so I don't claim to have been "right" either. But let's look at what our friend Rocky actually predicted: A "sucker rally" leading up to the report that would allow him to sell his recently acquired position at 16, followed by a gradual, wasting decline the next week. Clearly, this isn't what happened. He also said that Zip sales were slowing down, which is simply not true. It is a fact that Zip revenue growth was not as good as could have been hoped, but the unit sales growth was certainly there. More Zip drives were sold in December than in November, and the number for the quarter was no less than 2.5 times the number in the fourth quarter of 96. True, revenues for Zip did not double year to year. That is not to be expected when prices are being lowered and the mix of OEM drives is higher. Rocky did not say sales growth was slowing down, he said fewer people were buying Zips. This was and is not right. Now, Rocky, I must say that you have been quite civil in the face of this unexpected and unhappy set of events. You have not gloated (much) and you have been appropriately sympathetic to those who did not get out yesterday. A lot of posters have said kind things to you yesterday and today, and I know you've had few nice things said to you here ever. Certainly you deserve to enjoy this positive attention. But don't let these people fool you into believing that you called it right all along. A lot of others were wrong, and you got out before the carnage, but you're still missing much of the picture. - Allen
