Cheif,
shepshit is the kinda guy who wants to see the returns of a billionaire who became a public servant..;.instead of the tax returns of those who became millionaires after they became public servants
The truth is that tax returns are completely meaningless with regard to exposing corruption.

First of all, let's get one thing out of the way. If a politician is dodging taxes, the IRS will no doubt get to the bottom of it. They have an army of professionals who are paid six figures to go after the cheaters. The deeper the pocket, the greater the heat from the tax man.

I have NO doubt that the IRS is already going through each and every single tax return that Trump filed in his entire life. If the IRS was easily weaponized by Obama to go after political enemies, and if Trump really is as disliked as he is reported to be in Washington, then they will spend considerable resources going over every line item in every tax return ever sent by Trump.

Now, what about all that "shadow money" that is supposedly legal but would open up "shady" business relationships if brought out into the open? Surely the public ought to know, right?

But that's obviously not the case. Look at the Obamas, for example. They became millionaires after getting into the White House. They released all their tax returns. Where is all of their income coming from?

Yep, the usual:

1) Book revenue

2) Wall Street "speaking fees."

#1 is completely legit; after all, the Obamas are celebrities now.

But #2? Come on, getting paid six to seven figures just to give some meaningless speech at Goldman Sucks is really dirty. Yet no one talks about it. (At least the mainstream media doesn't. Right-wingers on social media do, but their points are often ignored.)

Now how about the Clintons? Bill Clinton released all of his tax returns, as well as Hillary every time she ran for president.

Yet you can't tell me that the release of their tax returns makes them oh-so-transparent. Some examples off the top of my head include the Clinton Foundation and the Podestas, both of which got rich by selling influence to the Clintons. (And of course, there are also those Wall Street "speaking fees.")

Did any of that dirty money get exposed by tax returns? Of course not. In fact, they were exposed the old fashioned way. The news media reported on it, and the Clinton supporters ignored it.

Hence the reason why I personally don't give a shit about anyone's tax returns. Besides, most who do are the kind who can't even fill out a 1040EZ form without the help of an accountant.
