Respond to of 1576164 Fubho, I'll respond to this point by Rush:She's not gonna permit an acquittal. This is all about the blemish. This is all about the asterisk. This is all about the black mark. I already mentioned this in my first Tenchu's Thoughts . There is precedent for using impeachment as an "asterisk" and a "black mark." Impeachment without removal is the strongest form of censure that the House can issue. The Republicans did that with Bill Clinton. Like I said before, several Republicans and some Democrats back then wanted to "impeach but not remove."But did any Democrat in the House ever say, "Impeach but don't remove"? Of course not! Why not? After all, they know Trump won't be removed from office by the Senate. They could have obtained some Republican support by saying "impeach but don't remove." They could have made this a bipartisan impeachment if they really tried. But they didn't, and I already explained why in Tenchu's Thoughts. It's because impeachment is nothing more than left-wing fan service . They have to deliver impeachment to their core base of lunatic supporters. They also have to act like they WANT Trump removed, even though it will never happen. Remember, in a liberal world, intentions matter more than results. As long as you TRIED, it counts. Let's not forget that the public who wants Trump impeached also want him removed. Why? Because they hate him, and they hated him from day one. They already KNEW Trump was guilty, even though they weren't sure exactly what he was guilty of. "But, but, RUSSIA! But, but, emoluments! But, but, tax returns!" In short, there is almost no one in America who wants Trump impeached but not removed. You either want both, or you want neither. Anything in the middle, and you will be attacked from both sides of the political spectrum. This is why Pelosi is in a bind. This is why Rush is saying that Pelosi only wanted the "asterisk" and the "black mark." Because she knows that's all she can achieve. All other pursuits are utterly futile. Tenchusatsu
