Interesting thoughts. However, even MM's must bow to the pressure of the market, and if a stock becomes "hot" they will not be able to withstand the buying pressure. Also, MM's compete with each other, and if there are numerous MM's (as is the case with DCI) their conflicting agendas make it difficult for any individual to manipulate the stock price. It's a lot easier for MM's to control stock prices if there are only a few players.

That's why I think what DCI has done is just brilliant. They're taking the time to attract a crowd before they dump any substantive bombs (that is, having to do with M&A). They are rallying a large group of potential investors to them who are now watching DCTC very closely. And this potential investor pool, I believe, can provide an influx of capital that will simply overwhelm the MM's. That's one reason why I think so many BB stocks never get listed. They don't have a management team with both a business savvy and a marketing savvy. It takes both to make it over that hurdle to the "bigs".

At least that's the way I see it.
