Your argument is other worldly and has no relevance to planet Earth. More importantly, there are other issues to consider. War is not going away; it is a means to satisfy greed and I can assure you greed is not going away on planet Earth. Only in Heaven do war and greed vanish. Not choosing or running away from the candidates is a cowardly act because it runs away from the issues, which are manifold and can't be reduced to one thing. Life is a dirty affair. In your terminology, humans sin and are guilty. There is no exit or way out from that on planet Earth. In life, one needs to choose the best of all possible candidates. None are perfect. Every one of them has ugly sides. But they also have good sides. In life, one has to add up the plusses and minuses and choose what you perceive as best among the imperfect bunch. You are shirking your moral and social responsibility on planet Earth as a social being.
