Looks like I will get to buy back the half of my position I sold last week at 4.94 with a slight gain. Should have waited for 6 like you were predicting.

It looks to me like there are a lot of weak longs on this thread. One called me a shorty when I stated I sold half my position. When a real short comes on the thread it takes on the character of a swarm of blowflies buzzing around a pile of dead ......

New folks visiting will get really turned off by the inane bickering with the shorts. Some of the really savvy longs on this thread should just reply to the lies and distortions with relevant links to some of the great posts that have been made on every nitpicking detail of FIBR and the personal habits of everyone working for FIBR.

Sorry to go on, but so many posts all of a sudden makes me want to delete the thread from my list.

Barb, yesterday you were saying someone was ignorant for thinking that Craig's posts could actually cause anyone with a brain of their own to sell, much less cause the stock price to go down. Today you say that these posts just about have you shorting, and now you say you don't go to bed at night long. (Sorry these are not exact quotes, but the meaning is the same as I understood).

Brainwashing is done by constant repetition. Craig is a master at what he's doing. For that I give him credit. For being offensive and bashing others, I'd love to have a selective deletion key to block all his propaganda before it even appears on my screen.

When I spoke to Par and Sharon in December at the aborted meeting I told Par I had heard good and bad. I asked Sharon about some other issues. I've read the Barron's article twice. One thing I find comforting: nothing I've read has accused Par of doing anything to hurt Osicom. Think about it - even IF he profited illegally from other companies, he's owned Osicom since something like 1981. Yes, this is a new Osicom, but he's done everything to BENEFIT his baby (FIBR). I think he takes pride in FIBR. The heads of FIBR's divisions expressed to me that they have faith in him.

I'm not totally comfortable, but the risk/reward here is big, and I love the potential. Anyone who can't handle any risk should not be in the stock market at all. If you think it's a scam, short the stock. But I sure would like to get back to the FACTUAL posts about the products coming out and all the new business relationships. Wish Brooks Fiber would make some statement, soon. Your posts about mm's backing up, on either side, large transactions, etc are very helpful and factual. Craig comes on like someone who has all of his friends' and family's money into shorting FIBR, probably at around 3 1/2, and is deperate. If he'd stick to valid questions (and he has some), I'd debate him. But you can't debate "this company's a joke". Most of us know the risks and remember similar stuff about IOMEGA and others. Sometimes you have to take risks to find rewards. Each of us has to weigh the evidence both ways. If I had bought IOM 3 years ago when I first moved to Roy, Utah (about 3 miles from their offices) I wouldn't be fooling around answering weird people late at night. Good luck!

I agree totally with your points. My point essentially was for people to try and use a little restraint and common sense vis a vis the "us vs. them " bickering that I see so frequently on the threads.
I believe in knowing both sides of the story as well and like to hear the potential problems involved in any company I may want to invest in. However, it is very apparent to me that the timing of the recent posts by declared shorters and the shrill statements therein are just clutter on the board much like statements by longs in the same vein.
I guess I am too a bit like Voltaire and would like The best of all possible worlds where adults can engage in civilized discourse on such a fantastic medium as this.
I was not speaking of you in the previous post. You do not seem to post for your own self fulfillment but for the mutual benefit of yourself and others.
I also stated that I did not feel these folks would adversely affect a stock price in the long run. I agree that if anything such downward trending creates buying opportunities for the long players and the volatility is great for short term trading. It's made me quite a few bucks also.
The market is just an auction and the key is picking up bargains either long or short and having the cold minded discipline and strategy to keep the cash positions growing.
My current view on this stock is that the MMs are taking advantage of the profit taking and stop orders to obtain more shares at favorable prices. If it does not support at 4 1/2 could create better purchase opportunities.

Barb

<Short sellers can't destroy a company with FUD. They may drive the price down but they can't keep it down, because if they do, some sharpie with money will grab the shares. So they might have some short term effect but in the long run the company lives or dies because of the underlying business, not the ebb and flow of supply and demand.>

You are right about that. FIBR management won't need any help destroying the company. The have had lots of practice destroying companies on their own!

Hello Barb,

Thanks for your short term support and resistence #'s. BTW, is it Web Street that offers partial level II service @ $78/month?
