Prices by 22 Percent

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 1998-- IBM/a today announced that the award-winning IBM IntelliStation M Pro/a, a Windows NT/b-based workstation, has beaten its closest rivals in recent head-to-head industry benchmarks and reduced prices up to 22 percent in several of its top-selling models. IBM also announced that the IntelliStation M Pro will continue to increase application performance for customers with a new 9.1 GB (1), 10,000-rpm hard drive and support for the symmetric multi-processor (SMP)-capable Intel Pentium II/c microprocessor running at 333 MHz (2), when it becomes available.
