Some thoughts... A lot of people keep wondering why Westell does not promote contacts or product releases like the competition. Westell rose from the ranks of business where you do not tell the competition what you have until you are selling it!! When you are the leader in a particular area, everyone else will try to copy you.

At one time Westell was the number one supplier of NIU's to the RBOC's plus the major independants. But over time, the competition would get the product in their lab and use reverse engineering so they could compete. In a market like that, do you really want your competition to know what you have and what you are working on? WSTL still sells more NIU's than anyone, but WSTL does not have all the RBOC's anymore.

You let your customers and shareholders know that you mean business, but not everything that you are working on. You supply them what they need when they need it, and then your competition can start to copy you (after you have the lead)...

Sarg: This stock did not trade on earnings it is trading in advance of news. Expected announcements from MSFT and CPQ about their support of DSL. WSTL has been trialing with MSFT for many moons.....AWRE is not a player. We are seeing further interest in DSL from the instituions and everyone interested in speeding up the net and increasing interest in it.

WESTELL is still 15-18 months from reporting any significant revenue or bottom line earnigns but the stock will fly because of:

a) the above items
b) its certainly secured enough interest from LU, BEL, Fujitsu, GTE and others
c) it has investment banking work for Wall Street aka fee's

Watch out...WSTL is sailing.
