It is refreshing to see that FSII is in the middle of the pack for the most recent listing.

Book to bill in December fell to 0.97 Don according to SEMI, but shipments and orders are still over 60% higher than year earlier levels.

Business Week and Barron's both had some positive notes from value players on the equipment industry, although Business Week also had some guy saying to avoid the sector. Long term we will do OK, in fact real well, I'm still convinced.

Here's a neat chart I made with the business software on my new Dell laptop, and my analysis of what is going on for what it is worth - members.aol.com - I'm like a kid with a new toy now -g-

Best - Joe

Don:

1. Any way you could add CYMI to your list?

2. Is there any way to determine what companies, if any, have closed below their lows in the winter/spring of 1997 during this leg down?

3. A written transcript of the last cc is available from FSII IR if you request it.

4. I have been trading FSII (long) the past few weeks and have no current position. FWIW, longs should take note of the increased short position off the lows during January.

This week saw another small gain for the group of 2 percent. The
"spread" between the winners and the losers is still very high. Some
of this averages out over several weeks, but nevertheless, good
stock picking is needed to make good money in this market so far this
year.
