My A1C was 7.1 in May 2017. I was not diabetic all that long, it fell to 5.8 about 2 months later. I am convinced the Azithromycin I was taking caused the spike. That drug wrecked havoc on my hormones and whole system.
I eat a high fiber cereal from Trader Joe's, one handful per morning. It is 23G carbs per serving and 5G sugar ( 8% daily allowance of Carbs), but I eat less than a serving.
